Managing account
How do I create an account?
To buy bullion or participate in Logan Gold Buyers auctions, you must first create an account. Simply click the “Create Account” button at the top of the page to get started.
We offer four account types:
- Individual
- Company
- SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund) Individual or Corporate
- Trust
Regardless of account type, you’ll need to provide valid identification - either a driver’s license or passport - to meet our compliance obligations under Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) laws.
Once submitted, our AI-powered verification system will review your documents and cross-check with various 3rd party systems. You’ll be notified via email and SMS as soon as your account is verified and ready to use.
Verification is mandatory for all customers prior to purchasing bullion or placing bids in our live auctions.
Why do I have to verify?
Verification protects your account and helps us maintain a safe, trusted marketplace. It also ensures we meet our legal obligations in Australia.
- Security: Confirms it’s really you, reducing fraud, identity misuse, and account takeovers.
- Compliance: We’re required to verify customers under Australia’s AML/CTF laws and AUSTRAC guidance.
- Fair trading & auctions: Prevents fake or duplicate accounts, shill bidding, and collection/payment disputes - creating a level playing field for everyone.
- Faster service: Once verified, orders, pickups, storage actions, and withdrawals are processed more quickly with fewer checks.
We only request the minimum information needed and store it securely. If you prefer not to upload a selfie, first enter your ID details and click Save, then bring the same ID in-store for a quick visual check. Questions? Email support@goldbrokersgroup.com.au.
Are SMS links from GoldBrokers safe?
Yes. We regularly send SMS messages for account verification, invoices, order updates, auction notifications, and other important account-related communications. Our sender name is GoldBrokers (verified SMS Sender).
- Official short links: We use goldb.au short links in our SMS messages to keep messages concise and easy to read.
- Secure redirection: All goldb.au links redirect to official Gold Brokers Group websites and services.
- Verification requests: If you're asked to verify your identity or account, the SMS may contain a goldb.au link that takes you directly to our secure verification portal.
- Check before clicking: If you're ever unsure about a message, confirm that the link starts with https://goldb.au/ before opening it.
We will never ask for your passwords, login details, or one-time authentication codes via SMS. If you receive a message claiming to be from us that seems suspicious, do not click any links. Instead, contact us directly at support@goldbrokersgroup.com.au or call us on .
I'm still waiting for my account to be verified
Our AI verification system can be busy at times. Most checks complete quickly, but it may take up to a day to finish.

How do I enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on my account?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Gold Brokers account by requiring a verification code in addition to your password when signing in and performing account actions.
To enable 2FA, log in to your account and navigate to your Security settings. From there, select the option to set up Two-Factor Authentication and follow the on-screen instructions.
Setting up your authenticator app
You’ll need an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or another compatible authentication app.
- Open the 2FA setup page in your Gold Brokers account.
- Scan the QR code using your authenticator app, or enter the setup code manually.
- Your authenticator app will generate a temporary 6-digit verification code.
- Enter this code on below the QR code to confirm and activate 2FA.
Once 2FA is enabled
When required during login or completing account actions, you’ll be asked to enter the current verification code displayed in your authenticator app. These codes change regularly and can only be generated by the authenticator linked to your account.
Having trouble setting it up?
If your authenticator app is unable to scan the QR code, you can use the manual setup code displayed on the 2FA setup page instead.
If you no longer have access to your authenticator or are unable to access your account, please contact our support team at support@goldbrokersgroup.com.au.
Security reminders
- Never share your authenticator codes or 2FA setup code with anyone.
- Gold Brokers Group staff will never ask you to provide a current authentication code.
- Keep access to your authenticator app and registered email account secure.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and contact us immediately.
We strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication to provide additional protection for your account and transactions.
I forgot my password
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it directly from the login page using the “Forgot Password” link.
Enter the email address associated with your account and, if your details match our records, we’ll send you a secure password reset link by email.
